Acting Academy
Acting Academy is an engaging after-school program gives students the opportunity to build confidence, spark their creativity, and discover their unique voices through acting, improv, and hands-on workshops. In a welcoming and supportive environment, young performers explore the world of theatre, develop practical skills, and grow both personally and artistically. The experience concludes in May with an exciting performance of a junior adaptation of a beloved Broadway musical.
This year’s program features:
- A role in the spring musical
- Workshops in dance, improv, makeup, and more
- The opportunity to attend a Broadway show at Proctors
Acting Academy is available exclusively to Schenectady City School District students in grades 6–8. SCSD provides transportation to and from Proctors (subject to restrictions).
