High School Musical Theatre Awards

7 p.m. Saturday, May 8, 2027
Proctors proudly presents the 11th Annual Proctors High School Musical Theatre Awards, a season-long celebration of extraordinary productions and talent showcased by high schools across the Capital Region. In collaboration with the Broadway League, this program mirrors the prestige of the Tony Awards, shining a spotlight on the dedication, artistry, and passion of student, performers, crew, and creative teams.
From show-stopping performances to breathtaking technical achievements, the excitement builds all season long as schools bring beloved musicals to life on their stages. These efforts culminate on May 8 in a red-carpet awards ceremony, where outstanding achievements — both on stage and behind the scenes — will be honored in a dazzling night of celebration.
Two Outstanding Lead Role award recipients will represent Proctors and the Capital Region on Broadway’s biggest stage at the National High School Musical Theatre Awards (The Jimmy Awards) in New York City.
The first thirty schools that meet all eligibility criteria and submit a completed application will be guaranteed participation. Applications open Sept. 14, 2026.
