Entertainment Technology
In an exciting new expansion of the career and technical training programs offered by Proctors Collaborative, we now offer a multifaceted new program aimed at students considering a career in the ever-growing entertainment industry.
Entertainment Technology includes a number of career fields upon which the entertainment industry relies. Students will learn about set design, lighting, sound, video, show control, automation, interactive environments, digital media and more, as they train for careers backstage at concerts, corporate and special events, television studios, sports venues, theatres, theme parks, or trade shows.
This program is made possible through a dynamic partnership between the Capital Region BOCES CTE program, the Mohonasen Career and Technical Education Center, Fulton-Montgomery Community College and Proctors Collaborative.
This collaboration will also provide area high school students with a direct pathway to a college-level program. Juniors and seniors can take the Entertainment Technology program through Capital Region BOCES.
The junior and senior years will take place at Proctors, allowing for hands-on training in a professional theatre, and students can earn up to 15 college credits at FMCC while still in high school. Proctors is proud to play a leading role in providing high school students with the tools they need to succeed in this innovative program, as well as the necessary resources to pursue their dream of a career in this growing industry.
